train tracks vanishing point by redux train tracks vanishing point by redux
not the best of my old photographs, but still a firm favourite of mine. i spent absolute ages in the darkroom to get it right...ah, the good ol' days before i had photoshop and a scanner. still, i prefer the hand-on approach of working directly with an enlarger when it can be done (well, ideally i like to get it right on the negative already, but sometimes you just need to coax the detail out of it later)

The pattern of the ties really stands
out to me. I love it. Low angles
sometimes are such a great perspective.

thats cool. I like it. you don't often see straight lines that long!! and you dont notice the vanishing point when you're viewing in 3d.

i love the angles on this piece. even though it is static it makes me imagine the motion and the detail of the tracks. i like how it shows 'personality' when your eye catches slight imperfection in what your head imagines to be totally perfect.

Great shot... The darkroom can be unforgiving... especially when you decide not to make test strips and end up wasting a bunch of photopaper... Take this shot for example [link] I ended up just scanning the negative on my computer... but I had to make a print of it for my final project so oh well... its a train shot as well... arent trains cool??
